I should have just bought a new shoe ~~ BUT NOOOOO ~~

Posted on 12:26 by Unknown
What do normal people do when their shoes fall apart, go buy a new one right??? Well not me, thinking I'm all crafty I went to fix my princesses shoe, they were totally falling apart, don't know how that happened. Then I decide it needs a whole lot of ribbon to make it look better, LOL. Mind you, this is all without stepping foot in a store, so I figure glue gun should work, and since her black shoes need to stay all black, the only ribbon I have is like the thinnest little ribbon possible. Do I make it work, well you be the judge of that. Gosh sometimes, I hate being so cheap. Oh who am I kidding, I am totally proud of myself, and my daughter seems to LOVE her new shoes, so despite the 3 hours I slaved trying to save $10 bucks, I guess it was worth it.

Enjoy, my very first SHOE redo.

See what I mean, TOTALLY coming apart.

Pretty funny right?

My bright idea, lol.

This picture is so crappy, but I was trying to show the border of ribbon I put all around the bottom.

Then to cover up all the glue that was showing I thought, little rosettes, BAD idea. First of all, this took FOREVER, the ribbon was so small, and glue was everywhere, making it look SUPER messy. So I ripped it off,  and some shoe too, and started all over.

After tearing the shoes apart even more, I had to cover it up, so I just layed strips of ribbon on the shoes, see.....

But, got tooooo lazy, and didn't do the back, except for the little rosette, to cover up where the seams met. Oh and since the heals were all scuffed up, I did what all good moms do, colored them in with permanent marker. WHAT you've never done that, yeah me neither, but it kinda worked, a little.

Another picture trying to make them look more decent than they are, he he.

Pretend like you can't see any glue, OK.

And yes pretend like there are no more scuff marks.

Like I said, at least she can wear them a couple more times. and she was happy.

Yup that is my Christmas tree NOT FINISHED,,,, my stand crapped out on me last year, and I forgot all about it, until this year when I went to put up the tree. It's not stable, and with my kids running all over, I wanted to replace the stand before I start decorating, BUT I can't find this SWIVEL TREE STAND I have, and LOVE, if it hadn't only broken.
SO there you have it. What do you think, should I have just gone and bought a new pair, or did it turn out ok, be honest!!!!

I'm off to my kids Christmas concert tonight, (that's why we needed this shoe fixed) maybe I'll share a song with you all tomorrow. They are so dang cute!!

As always ENJOY!

Hello Mr. Owl, I LUV YOU, THANK you BILLIE MONSTER!!!!

Posted on 11:38 by Unknown
Oh my goodness, this was a long wait, BUT what do you expect, when its coming all the way from Canada, he he. Billie you are so sweet for going thru the trouble of mailing this little guy out to me. I know interntional shipping is a pain, and it's no wonder most people prefer to just stick with their own country, but I am super happy with Mr. Owl.

Here is a step by step of how I opened my present, I love it. A girl could get used to this, all the little goodies, even before getting to your item.

Check it out, and then HURRY go check out
BILLIE MONSTER
and of course her SHOP
BILLIE MONSTER ETSY SHOP
She has it up and running, and she has a bunch of really cute things.

Thank you BILLE, I love Mr. Owl.

Blue Balls, and a Kitty Cat ~~ Holiday decor at it's finest ~~

Posted on 08:54 by Unknown
My office needed some TLC, so I quickly cleaned it up, and did what I do best, decorated with what I had on hand. I love my blue room, it's so refreshing, but it doesn't match any other room in the house. I would love to redo my whole home in a different color scheme, but for now, this is the only place I can add any blue, red, yellow, or green decor, and make it fun and bright.

This room, has these built in bookshelfs, which are awesome for storage, BUT one day I will show you, even there, I need to add shelves, or something, to utilize the space even better. The actual bookshelves, have only a fraction of our book collection. Nothing special, BUT, I still have all my old books, from growing up, and so does my husband. Every single outdated computer programming, coding, boring book there is, we got it. Most he has NEVER read, after buying it. All those are stored mostly up on the very top shelves. So anyway, I have my bookshelf filled with BOOKS, and dvds, and videos, and I tried really hard to make it look at least kind of cute. Not very easy, when you refuse to go buy anything.

Here is how my room looked BEFORE, and what it looks like AFTER. I finally went to the fabric store, and got some fabric, to redo my sofas, LOL very loud, because this is just something I think I can do, who knows  if I will actually be able to pull it off. Can't wait to show you guys all that, LATER....

Here is my Blue Balls, and Kitty Cat Christmas Decor

BLUE BALLS
KITTY CATS

BEFORE, yikes what a mess. That bottom cabinet is where I keep my Seasonal Decorations, and his room was the place to dump everything in the process. Time for a cleanup.

Closer look at the mess, OK.

What the heck, um yeah.....

Uh hugh,,, yeah.....

One more scary view,,, now behold,,, the NEW room.

This wall hanging, had rods, and lights in it, but I took all that off, so I could place it in here. I just didn't have anything else to fill in this space properly. I love this nook, but I don't have any grand bold pieces, for it. What to do???

Collected my daughters pets, and extended the picture on the wall, down. I love how cute it looks, my daughter was sad, she wanted her pets back, but somehow I bribed her, int leaving them on display, he he.

Bad, cats, playing with the ornaments and present, even puppy got in on the action, awwww.....

A little better, OK, A LOT....

More blue balls, LOVE IT.....

Ooopps, forgot to straighten up those couches, my son refused to let me move his dino collection, so no point in even trying. I love my poinsettia plants, hopefully this year I can keep them alive for much longer. I know you can grow these year after year, I will def try much harder this year.

My small Christmas set up, mismatched but somehow working, I love FREE.....

I know it's still cluttered, but hey, remember those before pics, this is WAY better. Besides, where would I keep all this stuff, if not on the bookshelf???

See my red apples everywhere, I love those things.
So what do you think?
It's better right?
I would love to get any ideas, or suggestions on what to do with the drawer fronts, I like the clean look, of having them all white, BUT, I think I want a little something.

Also how do you decorate your bookshleves, when you have a BUNCH of not so good looking books, that need a home. Give me some advice PLEASE.....

Oh and one last thing, you saw my couches, would you guys even attemp at trying to redo them???

As always ENJOY!

I thought I saw a snowflake ~~ I did I did ~~ and my Florida trip to keep me warm!!

Posted on 18:43 by Unknown
Dang it's been COLD, like seriously COLD. Just after Thanksgiving we got hit with freezing temperatures, and are still freezing, and it's only the beginning!!

On Saturday, it snowed for like 2 seconds, BUT, it was enough to get the kids bundled up, and take a quick picture outside. We are silly like that, but we hardly get snow here, and if we do, it's like an inch, that melts the next day. Although last year, we had snow like 5 times, and one time, we made a snowman family, there was so much, (after my grass had no more snow) BUT I did make 5 snowmen, and they lasted for almost a week. It was cool. Anyway, I just thought I'd share a few pics, from the snow a couple days ago.

Then I will share some pics from our vacation in Florida, just a couple weeks ago, it was 85 degrees, and beautiful. Gosh I wish I was still there.

I am so tired lately, have no idea why, hope I'm not coming down with something, I have to much to do still. My eyes are literally closing as I type right now, so I will try and make this quick. Just adding the pics, and off to bed I go.

Good Night everyone!!!

As always ENJOY!
