The Hairstyle GAME - A new series!!

Posted on 18:46 by Unknown
THE HAIRSTYLE GAME
A new Series

Every week I will post SEVEN new hairstyles. All of them are "celebrity inspired" and you have to match my pictures to the celebrity. I will name them all at the bottom of the post!

Come back every SUNDAY for a new game, and the answers to the previous weeks game.

Oh and if you GRAB a button, you'd totally make me happy!
Besides, we all love to play dress up, and this is just WAY to much fun to not let your friends join in the fun. If enough of you ask, I might even turn it into a linky so YOU can play too!

Here's how this New Series came to be!!

I found this amazing virtual hairstyle program online, while searching for help on cutting my Moms hair. She was scared to go short, and leave it natural (grey). I told her it would look awesome. So I had to find a way to prove it to her.

Let me introduce you to:
THE HAIRSTYLER
No more trying a hair color just to realize you look like poo with it.
No more bad haircuts.
DUMB AND DUMBER HAIRCUT
No more taking a comb to fold up your hair to see if you like the way you look with bangs.
I did a video on cutting your bangs, it was pretty funny, check it out.
HOW TO CUT YOUR OWN BANGS VIDEO TUTORIAL

If you want to see all my hair posts, just search for HAIR, or click HERE!

Now you can try any hairstyle VIRTUALLY. I'm telling you it looks so realistic! I bet you could fool someone if you sent them a picture, hehe.
THE HAIRSTYLER

Go check it out people. For the cost of a CHEAP haircut you can get a ONE YEAR membership to this amazing styling tool. I can't even tell you how fantastic it is. I'm sure there are other sites out there, maybe even free ones, but I stumbled on this one, and LOVE IT. Totally easy to use, totally customizable, great advanced search options, and you can get a full makeup makeover as well.

You can ask real stylists for help, watch tons of videos, and I could go on and on, but the best way for you to understand is to check it out yourself.

GO now, and treat yourself to a FUN afternoon, trying on different hairstyles.
You never know, it might just be what you need to change your look once and for all. I know it can be scary to cut your hair, or change the color, but now you can try out all the things you never thought you could pull off, JUST FOR FUN. How cool is that!!

P.s. I am NOT being payed, compensated, or in any way asked to write this review. I found this site, signed up, USED it, and LOVED it. Although I am going to write them to ask if I could giveaway some free memberships, so keep your fingers crosses, he he.

Dumb and Dumber haircut - my HEART ACHES 9/11

Posted on 14:53 by Unknown
SCISSOR HAPPY
Help someone take the scissors away. After my shower this morning, I started cutting, before I knew it, I had given myself the DUMB and BUMBER haircut. You know the one, yup, the only thing missing was a chip in my tooth, and a wooly dog car, DANG!!!

I have no idea what got into me, I just cut, and cut, and cut, and THEN it was too late, lol.

So after my entire family laughed at me, I got to work. I had to fix it, but HOW??? This is what I came up with, and if I do say so myself, I kinda like it, KINDA!!!

What do you all think?

Should I STOP cutting my bangs, or do you like it too?

Last time I cut my bangs this short I was 19 years old and in cosmetology school. Ahhh, I need to gather up some old pictures with all my different hairstyles, and colors. A far cry from my boring, GREY hair today. Anyways, be honest, and tell me what you think? I'd love to hear your HONEST reaction, lol.

Shine necklace - THE SHINE PROJECT
Earrings - Kohls (he he)
So the bottom right picture was EXACTLY what my face looked like after I cut my hair, I was seriously going to cry :(  I took some SAD pictures, and then put on some earrings, hoping I would look more like a girl, lol. It was BAD, and I can't blame my hubby and kids from freaking out. Oh boy it was not fun!
I had to pull some of the hair away from my face, I just looked like a BOX. By pinning it up in retro type curls, I think it really opened up my face, and while it was not what I had pictured when I started cutting my bangs this morning, I think I can deal with it for a while. It's different, and well, I like DIFFERENT.
Thank goodness for jewelry, and lipstick, ha ha.
So there you have it, my dumb and dumber haircut.

I'm not sure that I will post anything tomorrow. I have such mixed feelings about how to express what I feel about 9/11. I'm not sure I can do it properly, so I will just say this:

My heart ACHES for ALL the people effected by that dreadful day. My heart ACHES for the children who grow up without their parents. My heart ACHES for the families who's lives are forever empty because someone they loved gave their lives in trying to help others. I WANT my heart to ACHE for the families of those men who took part in that DISGUSTING act of terrorism, and EVEN for the men themselves, BUT is it worth my effort? Will I solve anything for feeling sympathy for them? I'm not really sure, but my heart still feels something, and mostly what it feels is HATE. I can't lie and say I don't HATE what they did. I could care less what their reasons were, I don't think ANYBODY has the right to do what they did PERIOD. I feel the same way about WAR in general by the way, I just can't justify killing more people as solution to anything. (Please don't ask me what I would do if anyone ever hurt my kids though, my thought are very different then, although I wouldn't go to war with a COUNTRY you know what I mean?)

If I could wipe away ALL the war, the fighting, the HATE in this world I would. It's not healthy, it's not good, and it's NOT NECESSARY. I don't want to waste my energy on feeling like that!

WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

Why should anyone live their lives thinking of ways to destroy another. I don't think ANYBODY'S GOD wants that. We are ALL his children, and we are ALL loved. I wish we could all just BE!!

I WILL NEVER FORGET!
I do wish the WORLD could MOVE on to a BETTER tomorrow!

I feel very sad that this may never happen as long as we can't accept each other, and love one another just the way we are. We should all join forces, to make this WORLD a better place.

Hate can never END, as long as someone feels justified in getting back at the other person. It's a vicious circle that is never ending.

An eye for an eye mentality can only end when the whole world is left with only one eye!!

Think about that, next time. (Unless someone hurts your child of course, then it's no mercy)
Just saying, I'm not perfect yet, and I could seriously HURT (very badly, with my own hands) anybody who hurts a child, especially MY child. There is no place in the world to hide from a mothers wrath if you hurt their baby!! Ok, now that you are all totally FREAKED out by me, I'll be going. So the moral of the story is, DON'T hurt CHILDREN, and PEOPLE in general. You hear me, don't do it!!

Now you know why I didn't want to write anything tomorrow :(

How to cut your bangs - A VIDEO TUTORIAL -

Posted on 10:52 by Unknown
Ok, here is a quick video my son took of me cutting my bangs. We had so much fun, and couldn't stop laughing. I decided to share all the bloopers with you too, since this is so me. I thought you would enjoy seeing me in action, as I usually am. A total dork!! So anyway, here it is, enjoy, and by the end of the video you will actually know how easy it is to cut your own bangs, so that's pretty cool.
Please forgive my HORRIBLE video editing skills. It took me forever just to get this up, and the video quality is so bad, hmmm. I need to work on that, if I choose to do more of these videos, and I think I want to, because it was fun. Anyone have any pointers for me on uploading and editing videos, easily. I'd love to hear from you!!!

And of course I had to trim my oldest sons hair again, it was just a tad bit too long, he he.
SO much better dude, I can see those eyes again, thank you!!
I hope you guys enjoyed the video, and I hope you are learning a thing or two. Hopefully you can start saving your family some money and do your own hair, or even give your kids a trim. More hair tips coming soon, including my new NO POOP hair care. I can't wait to talk to you about it.

Posted on 12:54 by Unknown
Just wanted to show you guys some pics of my hair again.
This time no styling, in fact I didn't even brush it. Washed it the night before, and these were taken after a sweaty morning at my daughters school for field day!!
Sorry the quality sucks so bad, they were taken with my macbook camera, lol, photobooth.

So what do you think?

Make sure you come back tonight to see last weeks featured projects. Thanks to everyone who has been linking up, and THANK YOU so much to everyone for all your wonderful comments.

Amaze me August #36 ~I cut my hair again, The MULLET haircut~

Posted on 19:59 by Unknown
Welcome to the 36th edition of
Photobucket
I am so glad you are here. Before I begin I just wanted to say
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all my lovely mamas.
I hope you had a wonderful day!!

Have I got something to show you today.
Remember a few weeks ago, when I cut my own hair?
You can read all about that HERE!

As any haircut does, mine started growing out, and again it started driving me crazy. With summer heat fast approaching I thought I was going to go mad. I sweat, and get really hot, really fast, and the LAST thing I need, or want, is my hair all over the place.

So up in a pony tail it goes. Not really a big problem, but since I stopped using shampoo, nearly nine months now, washing a bunch of hair, the ALL NATURAL way, has become a bit too time consuming. Post coming up on that soon. :)

Problem number three, all my gray hair. Pulling it back in a pony tail just wasn't doing anything to bring out the natural beauty of these wonderful FREE highlights I am being blessed with, lol. I know I am probably fooling myself thinking I can pull this look of much longer, but I am holding out, hoping, that I will gray beautifully. You now those ladies, who look so darn pretty with their silver hair. Oh please, oh please let me be one of them.

SO what's a girl to do? I was THIS close to saying forget it, and cutting it short. When I get fed up, or in one of my moods, there is no stopping me. I was on a mission this fine day, and off to the bathroom I went, scissors in hand, again. This time though, my only plan was to get rid of a LOT of hair, lol. Knowing that I actually wanted it short, made it so much easier to start cutting away, knowing that if it totally messed up, I'd just cut it short anyway.
Hardly any pressure this time, and I didn't have the camera on me either, which really helped, lol. So anyway, are you ready to see some pics. I had a mini photo session again, and my princess helped me out. Thanks girly girl.

Wow, pretty cool, seeing the three next to each other like that. I haven't had bangs since I was 19 years old. Before that, the last time I had them was probably when I was 10 years old. I have to say though, that I am really loving them so far. I was so scared, always thinking that it would look horrible on me, but for now I like it. Oh and YES I totally gave myself a MAJOR MULLET haircut, thank you very much, lol. It just turned out like that, not exactly what I had in mind, but thought, I might as well, leave some length, since I did spend years growing it out, and I knew I'd miss it. I can totally still pull my hair up, and now I get all these cute little layers framing my face, which I think looks really pretty.

I hope you enjoyed my little photo shoot, and you know I want to hear what you all think, of my NEW haircut?
YES or NO, be honest. My whole family basically freaked. They all pointed out my massive collection of gray hair, which is WAY, WAY, WAY more noticeable now, but, oh well. You can't have it all, I guess, he he.

Do any of you, embrace your gray hair, or do you all think I'm crazy?

Now link up, and show me what you got. Can't wait to see all the wonderful projects this week.
