Princess gets her hair cut!!

Posted on 20:35 by Unknown
Last week I finally cut my oldest sons hair. He finally went from Justin Bieber hair, to JAMES BOND. Check out the post HERE.
My little princess, has been asking for a haircut, I asked her a million times if she was sure, and she insisted. What could I do?
Her hair is a little wavy, and no matter how much I tried to get it straight, it still seemed a bit off. At I didn't cut her bangs, but she insisted on those too. She hates me telling her all the time to get her hair out of her eyes, so this should def help.
So I cut the bangs too. She was so excited about showing her brother, and friends. We had to put little froggy in her hair, because we love him. Thanks Agape Love for making such a cute hair clip.
What do you guys think? Do you like it? My princess love her new haircut, and it's so much easier to wash, brush, and take care of, especially with summer coming.

How to make Vanilla Cinnamon Playdough

Posted on 05:00 by Unknown
I love playing with playdough, and my kids love it even more.
When was the last time you actually played with it?
Do you know what I love even more?
Making my own playdough.
It's easy, fun, the kids love to help, and you can't beat the smell, the price, and the fact it's completely non toxic, and safe.
So here's the recipe I use.
(I can't tell you where I got this from, I've had it for years, and if you just google recipes, you will find it ALL OVER the place)
1 c flour
1 c water
1/2 c salt
2 tbls cream of tartar
2 tsp oil
(I add cinnamon, and vanilla to mine)

Put all these ingredients in a saucepan, and simmer on med.
STIR, STIR, STIR
After about 3 minutes, it starts to clump, and pull away from the sides. This is when you take it off the heat.
Then let it cool a bit, and start to knead it, WELL. The more you knead it, the softer it will be.
Your hands will be super soft after this this too, and it smells soooo good. You will love it.

Just be warned, my pics, and playdough, turned out kinda lumpy today. I guess I was trying to hard, lol. No seriously, I let it start to boil, before I stirred it, and you are supposed to stir CONSTANTLY, so you mix all the ingredients well. Ooops, no biggie, I just had to knead it longer than usual.

As you can see, they love creating all kinds of things. Usually they are cooking something, making pizza, bread, stuff like that, with the occasional snake thrown in for good luck, I suppose.

I hope you go make some for your kids, they will surely thank you for it, and while you are it at, try your hand at it too. I promise it's super fun, and relaxing!!

What I Wore Wednesday #1

Posted on 17:44 by Unknown
Nothing exciting, and I barely got a decent picture done. Thank goodness my daughter came home, and was happy to take a quick picture of me, before she dashed off to play.
Anyway, it helped knowing I wanted to do this post today. Otherwise I would probably stayed in my yoga pants, lol.

Basically everything I'm wearing is a Khols clearance item, bought with the 30% off coupon. I love that place.
Boots I'm wearing are my most favorite comfortable boot ever. Not as cool, and sexy looking as some other ones, BUT at least I can walk, ALOT, comfortably in them, so they get tons of use. I'll be really sad when they get too old, and get a hole in the sole or something, he he.
The jeans I'm wearing are the first pair of skinny jeans I've ever had. I only got them, because the price was right, I think about $7.00. My whole family teases me, because they are all torn up.
My necklace is from my dear friends over @
BELSI COLLECTION

My little princess, just had to pose for a picture too.
She is so happy to be sporting shorts, and skirts again.

Amy @ FLEXIBLE DREAMS, wowed us with another wonderful sewing project. Girl, are you sure you are just a beginner, when it comes to sewing? This sweater to dress transformation turned adorable!

K @ VINTAGE SKY, loves trying her hand at all kinds of knockoffs. Who wants to pay full price when you can figure out how to do it yourself. This is her latest adventure, and I think it's gonna be cool.

Linda @ COASTAL CHARM, got her hands on a lovely frame, and she turned it into a GORGEOUS chalkboard. Who wouldn't love having this hang in their home, it is just stunning.

Maggie @ PASSIONATELY CREATIVE designed this incredible heart, out of ALUMINUM FOIL, I'm telling you, recycling is awesome, and this a really great site with TONS of ideas.

Staci @ LIFE'S SWEETER WITH CHOCOLATE redid her bedroom, and really turned her wall above her bed into an awesome site. I'm totally loving the clean straight lines, it's really soothing to me.

Maria @ AGAPE LOVE DESIGNS redid this lamp, and now it's just about the cutes, funkiest, most perfect thing ever for any little girl. Wait Maria, are you using that, he he, OK, or for a cool lady :)

Becky @ JUST BECKAUSE used an old diaper box, to make this INCREDIBLY CUTE diaper storage box. Again people, use what you have, no need to spend a ton of money. This is soooo cute.

Shelley @ ARMY WIFE QUILTER made some cool stuff from her hubbies old uniforms. This purse just caught my eye, I really, really, really like it. How fun is it, and totally my style, perfect girl!!!

Mrs. Alexander @ I WISH I WAS MARTHA showed us a really simple solution to a problem most of us woman face. Organizing out jewelry. She did it on the cheap, and it is the perfect solution.

Jane @ {SO MUCH} JANE AND EUGENE showed that it is possible to turn your ugly gold faucets, or silver like mine, into awesome bronzed oil looking faucets. I just have to try this, like REALLY bad.

Winner of Fabulously Domestic Apron

Posted on 07:28 by Unknown
Totally thrilled to announce the winner.
Thank you to all who entered.
I ALMOST announced the wrong winner, thankfully I double checked, and the winner is:
Welcome!
Chelsea @ Creative Mommas
I guess even had I picked wrong, at least one of these two sisters would have won, he he. I first counted DACIA, as the winning entry #48, and upon closer examination, it was actually Chelsea.
This also just goes to show, how even ONE entry can be the winning one sometimes. Chelsea only left ONE comment, even though technically she could have left TWO, yet she still won.
"I'm a follower of her blog and I like the personalized baby gift set from her shop!"
So there you have it girls.
ENJOY, and share some pics with your new apron, I'd love to see it.

Now I MUST get my comments numbered, so this doesn't happen again, he he.
